FDDA Open Singles and Under 50 Doubles 2021

Another great night for the FDDA last night as 20 odd blokes in the singles and another 40 odd in the Under 50 double did battle to claim the honours.

The singles saw new FDDA Premier League player Dave Burke take the chocolates denying FDDA legend Kim Lewis his 6th Open Singles title in the final. A great match that went right to the last leg of the best of 11 clash. Kim did miss a number of darts at double to nail the victory but hats of to Dave who took his chance to claim victory in his first ever showing at the event.

Special mentions to Adam Rowe who lost the semi to Dave and also Tim Pusey who lost to Kim in his semi final match.

On to the Under 50 Doubles which also provided a down the wire, last leg affair. Congratulations to Daniel Larson and Kyle Hutchins from Willagee Rugby Club for taking the title against Gareth Lucy and Mike Turner representing Kardy Kats.

Thanks to all that come and had a go. We look forward to next time.

FDDA Open Double and Under 50 Average Singles

After a year off of our standard FDDA tournaments in 2020, it was great to get back to it last night for our Open Double and Under 50 Average Singles. It was a brilliant turnout with56 starters in the singles event and 23 pairs in the doubles event so it was a really full room down at Dallies which is always great to see. Good to see our old mate Jimmy from Just Darts back peddling his wares again – we missed you Jim.

Winners are grinners and with out any further ado here we go.

Under 50 Average Singles
Congratulations to Adam  Bircumshaw (pictured left below) who took the chocolates from runner up Paul Stuart

Open Doubles
After coming back from a 2 nill down in a best of 5 semi-final and a 3 nil down in a best of 7 grand final, it was the let’s say, the mature pairing of Adam Rowe and Mark Dorotich who came from behind for a brilliant win against Dave Charnock and Gary Stevens.
