28 September 2018 Posted By: Freo Darts Round Results Another big night of darts at the Spearwood Dalmatinac Club as the top 8 of the FDDA Premier League went into battle to see who would take out this year’s coveted title of ‘Premier League Champion’.
With the title on the line, we were expecting a decent showing and the lads definitely did not disappoint.

Quarter Final 1. – Best of 11 Legs Damon Heta v Dean Couling
Both players going leg for leg with some ‘Power’ scoring and clean check outs making it 5 all after 10 legs before ‘Damo’ showed his class in taking out 167 in a 3 shot game to progress to the Semi’s. (Heta 95.77 – Couling 91.38)
Quarter Final 2. – Best of 11 Legs Kim Lewis v Mick Zdun
A good start from both players with Kim taking out 124 and 70 in the first and third legs with Mick taking out 60 and 64 in the second and fourth. ‘Kimmy’ had come to play and took out the next 4 legs to make it a 6 – 2 win. (Lewis 84.88 – Zdun 75.88)
Quarter Final 3. – Best of 11 Legs Dave Charnock v Peter Sutton
‘Pistol Pete’ jumped out the blocks to make it 3 -1 his way before Dave took out the next 5 legs in 5,5,3,5 & 4 shots games that included pegs of 120, 101 & 122. (Charnock 88.59 – Sutton 78.44)
Quarter Final 4. – Best of 11 Legs Tim Pusey v Nigel Hartley
Tim continued on his recent good form with a solid 6 – 1 win over Nigel Hartley.
(Pusey 87.05 – Hartley 71.59)
Semi Final 1. – Best of 11 Legs Damon Heta v Kim Lewis
Damon continued on his ‘Quarter Final’ form and completely dominated with a 6 – 1 win against Kim to secure his spot in the ‘Final’. (Heta 97.34 – Lewis 77.54)
Semi Final 2. – Best of 11 Legs Dave Charnock v Tim Pusey
Dave had his sights clearly on a ‘Finals Berth’ with a powerful display of scoring and pegging that included check outs of 76, 80 and 160 to take out the match 6 – 2 against Tim.
(Charnock 104.05 – Pusey 93.18)
Final – Best of 13 Legs Damon Heta v Dave Charnock
‘Damo’ jumped straight to the lead taking out the first 4 legs in 5, 6, 4 and 5 shot games. Dave finally took the hand brake off and responded by winning the next three in 4, 4 and 6 shot games making it 4 – 3. ‘Damo’ fired in 2 x 4 shots games to take out legs 8 and 9 with Dave coming back in the 10th with a tidy ‘4 Shotter’ to make it 6 – 4. Damon was focused and chimed in against the shot with a solid 5 shotter to take out the match 7 – 4. (Heta 95.98 – Charnock 84.00)
