Another top night of darts at the Dalmatinac Club as the ‘Top Eight’ in the Fremantle ‘A’ League battled it out to see who would prevail as the 2019 Champion.

In a huge upset, Keith Walsh comfortably defeated the fancied favourite Chris Indich 5 – 1

Ossie Ford (4) v Gary Hunter (5)

A good solid game with the old ‘Stager’ Ossie Ford coming out on top with a 6 – 3 win.

Steve Robertson (3) v Paul Brotherston (6)

Some steady scoring and clean finishing saw Steve have a comfortable 5 – 2 win over Paul.

Sheldon Lewis (2) v Anton Soc (7)

Equal favourite Sheldon Lewis accounted for a fatigued Anton Soc with a tidy 5 – 2 win.

Semi Final No. 1 (Best of 9)  

Ossie Ford (4) v Keith Walsh (8)

Unfortunately, Keith Walsh was no match this time for the clean finishing Ford. A convincing 5 – 1 victory saw ‘Osmosis’ progress to the ‘Final’.

Steve Robertson (3) v Sheldon Lewis (2)

In a powerful display of high scoring and clinical finishing, Robertson easily accounted for Sheldon Lewis with a 5 – 2 win giving him that coveted spot in the final.

Final (Best of 11)                   

Steve Robertson (3) v Ossie Ford (4)

Both of these guys had come to play. Ossie jumped out to a 5 – 2 lead after 7  legs before Steve came back strongly with 6, 5 and 6 shot games to level it at 5 games apiece. Season 2019 would come down to the deciding leg and it would be seasoned campaigner, Ossie Ford that would prevail, taking out a 124 for a tidy 5 shotter and winning 6 – 5.
