Open Doubles & U/50 Singles ‘Round Up’

A good turn out for the first graded event of the season was held at the Dalmatinac Club on Wednesday night 2nd April and a high quality contest took place in both the ‘Open Doubles’ and the ‘Under 50 Singles’.

Some good solid darts were thrown throughout the night by the 44 starters in the Singles but he boys from the Kardy Kats had come to play and strong performances from Troy Hewer and Mike Turner eventually saw the pair face off in the final with Mike Turner sneaking over the line to take the honours.

In the Doubles, the father and son combination of Kim and Todd Lewis played brilliantly all night, with a win against the strong pairing of Basil Thorne and Brodie Little in the Semi’s to force their way into the final. The other Semi Final saw newcomer Nino Galunic and partner Shane Wright edge out Gavin Horner and Steele Flight to secure their spot in the final. A great game with Nino Galunic and Shane Wright eventually taking the honours over the Lewis boys.

A big thank you once again to the Spearwood Dalmatinac Club for their continued hospitality and also to Games Co-Ordinators Mark Walsh and Phil Cummins for a job well done.
