Eighty starters braved the wintery conditions last night to contest the annual ‘Open Singles’ and ‘Under 50 Doubles’ at the home of Fremantle darts, the Spearwood Dalmatinac Club.
In the Singles, a talented field saw solid performers Matt Moody defeat Kim Lewis and Lewis Kirk defeat Steele Flight in the Semi’s to book their places in the final. Kirk played well (73.63) but just could not match the ‘In Form’ Moody (74.41) who powered to a 5 – Nil victory to eventually take the honours.
Matt Moody joins an elite group of previous winners that include 4 x Winner Barry Mader (1974, 80, 81 & 82), Graham Hunt (1987,95,96 & 98) and 5 x Winner ‘The Legend’ Kimberly Lewis (1997, 06, 08, 2012 & 2019)

The Under 50 Doubles was a closely contested affair with some strong pairings that eventually saw the solid performing ‘Kardy Kats’ pair of Troy Hewer & Spencer Santaromita a touch too strong for the ‘Cockburn Bowling Clubs’ Graham McKenzie & Dave Doody.

Thanks to everyone that supported the event, the Dalmatinac Club for their continued hospitality and another stirling job by Games Co-Ordinators Phil Cummins & Mark Walsh.
