Under 60 Singles & Under 45 Doubles ‘Round Up’

Even the chilly wintery conditions couldn’t deter the 75 men and women that came along for the last graded event for the season, the Under 60 Singles and Under 45 Doubles.

The Under 60 Singles was a closely contested affair and consistancy would play a major part. Cockburn Bowling Club’s Grant Werner was playing well and defeated Dalmatinac’s Brock Blake to earn himself a spot in the final while in the other Semi, Paul Brotherston pipped team mate Gary Hunter at the post to secure his final’s spot. The boys went hard at it in the Best of 5 Final with Paul Brotherston taking the honours in the final leg.

The Under 45 Doubles saw some great match ups with some of the early favourites ‘Falling by the way’.  The Jandakot Jets pairing of Peter Nahirny and Thomas Jeges were playing solidly and accounted for the Dallies pair of Jason Richards and Des Franklin in the Semi’s to advance to the final whilst in the other Semi, it was the Cockburn’s Lisa Ward and Tim Barnes that edged out the Hilton ‘Navy’s’ Amanda Beedeison and Syd Game to secure their spot.

In the final, he Jandakot Jets boys turned on a really solid performance taking out the honours with a 2 – 0 victory.
