Darts WA State Teams Championships ‘Round Up’

Darts WA State Teams Championships ‘Round Up’

The Belmont Sports & Recreation Centre was at full capacity last weekend with 241 players from all over the State taking part in the Darts WA State Teams Championships. It was a ‘Who’s Who’ of the WA darting world with the cream of the States players all in action.

Pat Gallacher and his chargers reigned supreme in Division 1 and after dropping only one game all weekend were rewarded for their efforts with ‘Gold’…….well done to Pat and the boys on a brilliant win.

Division 1. – “GOLD”

L-R:  Dave Charnock, Deon Wyatt, Lewis Kirk, Pat Gallacher (NPC) Kristina Gallacher (Manageress)

Kim Lewis, Tim Pusey & Brodie Little

Guided by newly appointed Captain Steve Doherty, the lads in Division 4 also showed their dominance, suffering only one 6-5 loss for the weekend. A great ‘All Round’ team effort and some very good signs for the future for Fremantle with Matt Machin and Jordan Parker both acquitting themselves well on debut.

       Division 4. – “GOLD”

L-R:  Adam Linford, Jordan Parker, Steve Doherty (Capt.), Darrin Sigley, Paul Brotherston & Matt Machin

Our No. 2 team, also in Division 1, were gallant all weekend but unfortunately unplaced at the completion of the Championships.

Finally, hearty congratulations to Dave Charnock, Matt Moody, Brad Harding and Deon Wyatt on being invited to trial on May 27th and 28th for possible selection in this year’s State Team…….good luck boys !
