11 of the 12 players in action on week 15 with 14 matches on the night producing sixteen 180’s (Tim and Dave with 4 each) and ten 100+ pegs, Graham with the highest out 156 and Matt just behind with a 154. Tim and Brad both won all three of their games played, Brad now has a 5 point lead from Tim in second on 45 points with Kim in third also on 45 points but with less legs for. Graham added 3 points to his tally from three played to move level on 20 points with Peter and just one point ahead of Matt as they battle for a place in the top 8.

Top performer in week 15 was Tim Pusey with a healthy 94.15 overall from three games played (21 legs) and Brad registered the second highest average with 88.83 overall (27 legs). There were some excellent individual game performances the highlight was Tim’s 102.18 average versus Mick which included 3 180’s in a 6-2 victory. Brad turned on the style with a 97.23 in a 6-2 win against Graham which included pegs of 119 and 100 from Brad. Mick and Dave played out an entertaining draw which was close throughout and the same followed for Dave in a 5-5 draw with Kim, again a close game and fair result in the end. Peter showed some clinical finishing at 4-4 to grab a win against Joe with outs of 94 and 72 to win 6-4 and take the points. Lewis finished the night with two wins from three games played to move ahead of Mick in the ladder.

9 matches in week 14 due to reduced numbers but the players in action served up some great games. Lewis Kirk registered 5 points with 2 wins and a draw with Tim, Lewis winning the 10th leg to grab a deserved point. Kim Lewis was in great form against Tim with a 90.58 average and a 6-1 win, Tim pegging 111 in that match also. Kim bettered the peg in his next game with a 120 the highest of the night against Joe and a 6-3 win, taking 4 points from two played.

Dave put in a good performance against Matt with a 90.52 average and 2 180’s in a 6-2 victory. Kim, Dave, Mick and Lewis all unbeaten on the night, with Kim finishing top of the weekly averages with a 82.96.

Moves on the ladder this week with Kim moving into 2nd behind Brad and Dave closing the gap on Tim in 4th to 1 point. With Damon returning in week 15 after recent work commitments the season is poised for a great last few weeks as the guys battle it out to finish in the top 8, which will secure a place in the grand finals.

We have a new leader, Brad moved to the top of the ladder with two wins from two played in Week 13 and is now three points clear of Damo in 2nd having played 26 and 23 games respectively. With Brad and Damo still to play each other twice the race for 1st is definitely on!

Tim, Brad, Kim and Mick all unbeaten in week 13 with Tim again top of the averages with 90.21 and four weeks running over the 90, great form mate. Brad had the highest peg of the night with a 102 out followed closely by Peter with a 100. 8 180’s with Dave registering 3 of them. Total 180’s for the season sitting at 199 so far.

Matt fought back from 5-1 down to grab a point in a 5-5 draw with Joe. Kim and Mick battled it out to a 5-5 draw, a fair result with the lead changing hands numerous times throughout, good game lads.

7 out of the 9 players averaging over 79 in week 12 saw the overall average for the night at 80.37, well done fellas. Top average of week 12 went to the in form Tim Pusey with 90.43 and extended his unbeaten run to 4 weeks. Brad picked up another 5 points from a possible 6 and closed the gap to just one point on Damo in 1st with Brad having played 2 more games. Mick Zdun was the only other player without a defeat winning one and drawing one to take 3 points. Just 4 points separating 6th to 10th place in the race for a top 8 place.

20 180’s in week 12 with Peter Sutton leading the way with 5 followed by Kim and Brad with 3 each. Peter produced an excellent performance against Dave with 6 out of 7 on the doubles and a very good 97.92 average in his 6-2 win. The highest peg of the night was a 156 from Dave closely followed by Mick’s 155.

Mick, Matt, Peter and Dave all registering their highest averages of the season so far in week 12.

A big congratulations to Tim Pusey, Kim Lewis, Brad Austen, Mick Zdun and Peter Sutton who have all been selected to represent the State Team in Queensland this year and all the other State Reps, good luck and well done.

Week 11 saw 8 of the 12 players battle it out, work commitments, holidays and a week off for Mick due to only one scheduled fixture meant numbers were down but the remaining players ensured the standard remained. Tim Pusey registered the highest average of the night 91.45 and two wins, the first an exhibition of finishing against Dave with a 100% on the doubles including 2 x 126 on the bull, clinical. Brad Austen continued his good form coming in just under the 90 with 89.37 and two more wins to keep up the chase to catch Damo.

Kim Lewis was the only other unbeaten player on the night with a win against Matt and a draw with Graham. It was a busy night for Graham returning after missing week 10 and playing 4 games on the night to catch up a couple of missed fixtures. Two wins, a draw and a defeat returned 5 points for the evening and moved Graham into 7th place on the ladder.

Steve Doherty again registered the highest finish of the night with a 158, Graham with a 141 and Brad a 116 to add to Tim’s 126’s.

At the half way stage there is still lots to play for in the battle to finish in the top 8 and confirm qualification for the grand finals.
