Fremantle win annual ‘West Coast Challenge’
The Fremantle teams continued on their good form from Game 1 by comfortably beating the West Coast Association in Game 2 at the Kingsway Olympic Sports Club last Saturday.
The annual event is aptly named ‘The Trowbridge – Little Shield’ in honour of Fremantle’s past President and Life Member Ron Trowbridge and West Coast’s long serving Secretary and Life Member Sonia Little, who before passing were both great contributors to their Associations.
This year’s challenge marks the 20th Anniversary of the event being played between the two Associations with the score currently sitting at West Coast – 12, Fremantle – 8.

President Glen McLeod happily accepting the ‘Trowbridge – Little Shield’ from West Coast President Brad Kidner.

16 July 2023 Posted By: Freo Darts Tournament Results 73 of Fremantles finest braved the wintery conditions at the Spearwood Dalmatinac Club last night to take part in the last Graded Singles & Doubles event for the 2023 season.
The Singles saw some brilliant darts being thrown throughout the night (Including an 11 dart game by Shane Wright) and the final was no exception with the Dalmatinac Club’s fast improving Shane Wright taking the honours in a hard fought tussle over the Fremantle Italian Club’s Aaron Nicholas.

The Doubles was also a closely contested event with some great pairings going ‘Head to Head’ throughout the night. As was expected, the final went down to the wire with the boys from the Kardy Kats (Tony ‘Yak’ Morton & newcomer Troy Hewer) edging out the Cockburn Bowling Club’s Tim Barnes & Grant Werner to run out eventual winners.

L-R: Tony Morton, Troy Hewer, Tim Barnes & Grant Werner
Once again, thanks to Games Co-Ordinator Phil Cummins on another job well done and to the Spearwood Dalmatinac Club for their continued support and hospitality.

12 June 2023 Posted By: Freo Darts Tournament Results Another top night of darting action at the Dalmatinac Club last night as 83 starters braved the wintery conditions to take part in the annual ‘Open Singles’ and the ‘Under 50 Doubles’.
In a highly anticipated Open Final, two of Fremantle’s ‘Young Guns’ turned it on to the spectators delight with Tim Pusey the eventual ‘Back to Back’ winner over Deon Wyatt.

The Under 50’s Doubles saw 58 men and women from all over the Fremantle area battling it out for the honours. The Hilton ‘Navy’s’ Mark Warren & Adam Monaghan turned in a solid performance to run out eventual winners over the Dalmatinac Club’s Mike Condon & Jeff Coote.
